If you decide to travel by train through Europe's diverse landscapes,  consider taking an Interrail train ticket and you may want to make a stop along the way.

If you start the final stage of a long journey in:

• Lisbon  - take the subway to Estação do Oriente and from there take a train or a bus to Faro;

• Porto  - take the subway to Estação de Campanhã and from there take a train or a bus to Faro;

• Sevilla  - take the bus to Estación de Plaza de Armas and from there take a bus to Faro;

• Madrid or Barcelona  - you have direct trains (Renfe or Iryo) to Sevilla, and from there take a bus to Faro. Depending on your time of arrival to Madrid or Barcelona, this option might mean you need to spend one night in Sevilla.

Our main conference venue is a 10 minutes’ walk away from the coach as well as the train station of Faro.

As the Algarve is one of the most visited tourist regions, numerous flights operate between a large number of European airports and Faro.
If you are arriving by plane, you can take the bus to the main coach station near Faro's city centre where our conference will be held.
Buy your ticket on the bus.

Alternatively you may take a taxi or call an Uber.

Flying but want to reduce your carbon footprint?

I  f you would have to stop over, consider booking just one flight to the closest major hub, then continue your journey by train or bus. Airplanes generate a significant portion of their CO₂ emissions during takeoff and climb, so reducing the number of flights you take can meaningfully lower your overall impact. 
Here are some tips for how to get to Faro if you’re taking a flight but don’t have a direct connection.

If you fly to:

For most people, the journey to Faro will be too far by car.
In any case, driving and parking are not easy in Faro's narrow streets. There are, however, several large parking lots around the old city centre where parking is often free.
